Communication
In any business effective communication is essential. However, in healthcare it is vital to be sure all parties involved are able to communicate both ways well and are on the same page because of the higher level responsibility of looking after vulnerable patients. One of the most important responsibilities is about ensuring the right levels of staff are in the right locations enabling the organisation to provide the best care possible.
Calling round people is time consuming activity and so many calls not answered as well as the message not passed… In this modern day for majority of us using communication apps like Messenger or WhatsApp became common everyday activity and we even are more approachable through them than calls. We are not always available to take a call, when we are driving or working, but it is much easier to reply to a message or notification when catching up with the phone activity.
SOS enables to send and receive notifications anytime! Notifications can be created and sent separately or straight from the bookings page to one, a few or all staff, who haven't stated in their availability they cannot work that day. A message will contain information where and when the shift is. The message can be chosen from a list of templates, customised or a new one typed in. Once the responses from the staff members come back they can be allocated to a specific shift and then an automatic confirmation notification will be send that employee and once approved by all parties the shift will be added on rota.
